With only 5 sleeps to go find out the final arrangements for Fridays 24 Hour Hockey Fundraiser.

24 Hour Hockey -5th & 6th April 2019

Its great to see so many of our juniors volunteering to take part in our first sponsored 24 Hour Hockey event, we are now at the stage where we can share final arrangements with you all.

The event will start at 7pm on Friday 5th April with our Junior coaching team onsite from 6.30pm and finish at 7pm on Saturday 6th April.

During the event we will playing 3 different formats of Hockey - Indoor, 7 a-side & 11 a-side. We have worked out a schedule where players will play between 30 - 60 minutes of hockey and have a break. Players will be arranged into small teams which they will remain in for the duration of the event this is to ensure games are fair and safe. All Players will have a 3 hour break at some point during the night so they can put there head down and get some rest.

From 10am till 11am on Saturday our under 10s will be joining in (If they wish to come earlier or stay later they are more than welcome), and between 1pm and 3pm we will have our Men's 2nd team playing their final league game of the season. This will give players another rest but also the chance to watch a competitive senior hockey game. In addition to this there will be senior members of the club coming along at different times to help out.

Parents are more than welcome to come along and support (and bring food too) but to ensure we are complying with all safeguarding regulations we will be locking the school gates at 10pm and they will not be opened will 7am Saturday.
We will also not allow any junior under the age of 14 off site at anytime, unless they are accompanied by an adult/parent. Over 14s will be allowed off site for example, if they wished to go to Morrison's however they MUST have provided written permission from parents/guardian.

We will be requiring all parents/guardians to supply emergency contact numbers for that night when dropping their child(ren) off. We will be expecting that all Juniors maintain the highest standards of behaviour during the event, any child that does not meet these expectations will be asked to leave, no matter what the time.

Players will need to have plenty of food and drink to last them the full 24 hours, we will have access to Hot Water and a microwave too. The small dance studio/party room in Marden Bridge will be used as a quiet room for people to grab some sleep. You may wish to bring a sleeping bag as the room could get a little chilly.

Please bring any sponsorship money and sponsor forms either on the 5th or to a training session in the following weeks.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to speak to any of the coaches.

Many Thanks

Steve
