Focus On - New Community Partnerships

john blower17 Apr 2024 - 10:48

Ride Out event 21st July

Over the coming weeks, we will be running the Focus On Series. This series will provide a look into and an update on specific sections, partners and individuals of our club as we promote our Northwich RUFC community campaign.
Northwich RUFC in the community “every one is equal’ campaign continues to grow, the club are pleased to announce they are forging a new relationship with the local charity organisations “We are delighted to announce a new partnership with both Mid-Cheshire Mind & North Staffs Mind charities” said Northwich spokesperson Kirk Naylor.

Northwich have been promoting their mental health awareness initiatives across their social media and it is hoped this latest collaboration with Mid-Cheshire Mind will be far more reaching. Working together we can raise the awareness of the Mid-Cheshire Mind charity and the amazing work they do to combat the issue of mental health. They have operated locally for 12 years but are still not very well-known in the area and hopefully our combined enterprise will raise their profile and raise them some vitally needed funds. NRUFC hope we can connect together on a permanent basis.

An initial joint venture between Mid-Cheshire Mind, North Staffs Mind & Northwich RUFC has commenced on a proposed motorcycle “ride out” in association with J&S Oakmere and several other health organisations related to bike safety and welfare including Cheshire Fire Brigade.

Kirk continued “We recognise that a large number of Charities have been hit hard due to the ongoing cost of living situation and as a local community sports club we wanted to help. Mid- Cheshire Mind and North Staffs Mind are both incredible charities who help people in the most difficult situations. If we can help advertise the charity and raise money, it will be a great win off the field."

Mid Cheshire Mind is an independent local charity. The aim of their work is to help people build on their strengths, overcome obstacles, and become more in control of their lives. They offer ongoing support through a drop-in centre with weekly support activities that encourage and promote positive wellbeing and improvements in mental health.
