Partnerships engaging in the local community

Northwich RUFC Youth Development Charity is committed to providing “Rugby for All” regardless of age, gender or ability, free of financial and background constraints.

Representatives of Sale Sharks community trust & Northwich RUFC attended Russet School to arrange a game of Wheelchair Tag Rugby for the students. As NRUFC coach Danny Townsend explains “the initiative was two-fold, firstly to give the students opportunity of experiencing what for many was a new sport and raising disability awareness”. Russet school said it also provided the students another form of physical activity helping some to increase their fitness levels and all the students really enjoyed the session.

Sale Sharks & Northwich are also in partnership providing Walking Rugby aimed at the over 50’s every Monday at Moss Farm. This is an open community event for all participants to join in.

Northwich Superstars: A parent recently commented “I was asked to remove my child from a previous club, since joining Northwich the coaches have been tremendous and fully understanding of my son’s problem, he has found new friends and looks forward to his Sunday rugby. Refreshingly the coaches allow me to join in the training drills when I can see my child needs my support.”

Northwich is driven to make rugby accessible for ALL.
