Many of our activities could not survive without the involvement of passionate and dedicated volunteers who bring together a vast range of knowledge, skills and experience.
Successful rugby clubs are more than just victorious teams on the pitch. Players and coaches are vitally important but so are the many dedicated volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to help the club to function.
We are blessed as a club to have people volunteer their time towards keeping the club going. This year we have had an excellent turn out from volunteers supporting our community events including the Northwich Festival, encouraging the districts over 50’s fitness with Walking Rugby, supporting various charities and our other members events, as the club goes from strength to strength.
As all clubs know we rely heavily on volunteers to keep us going. For us it is no different and it has been a real team effort. Thank you to those who mark the pitch, help in the kitchen, clean the changing rooms, clean the kit, take photos at the games, promote the club in our locality and all the other jobs which nobody notices but get completed by “Somebody”. Also thanks to those who get a call to sort a problem out last minute and to all who take part in our community initiatives. The results on the pitch have been positive and we aim to keep the positivity going over the remaining season.
You don’t have to be a rugby expert to get involved here at Northwich. We are continually impressed by the passion, generosity and dedication displayed by our band of volunteers who help make our game what it is. Rugby is a richer organization because of our volunteers and members! ‘Everyone counts’, and as we say at Northwich RUFC, ‘Everyone Plays a Part’. THANK YOU!
