Our mini and junior players recently evolved into age grade teams.
It was a relief to return to rugby in the sunshine last Sunday following the inclement weather from the previous cancelled weekend.
We put our young superstars through their paces and all the coaches were very impressed with the progress made and how far the boys and girls have come in a very short period of time.
Superstar of the Week
There were many star performers but this week we focus on the Under 9s team.
And welcome back Charlie Wilson to the squad he had been missed for a fair few weeks but now back enjoying rugby at Northwich.
Rich Dale, our U9's coach was very impressed with his ability and skills in this mornings session , also giving him the nick name Billy Wizz with the speed he had running with the ball.
Welcome Back Charlie great return, hope you keep it up.
The season is now in full swing
And last Sunday we had a fantastic turnout of children, including new players in all groups.
We look forward to getting to know you better as the season progresses.
Last week we continued introducing the children to some new drills before moving onto some 2v1 scenarios.
There was a great combination of technique and enthusiasm shown by all our young superstars and I hope that we will be able to expand into real match practice before too long.
In the meantime we will of course be abiding by any instructions issued by the government and the RFU in relation to COVID-19 safety.
