To improve the experience and development of our club and young players.

In 2017 the club had no mini/junior team, we sought volunteer support to help grow the club, and create a warm, safe, welcoming environment for children of Northwich to participate in Rugby Union. Five seasons on, we are now running nine mini/junior teams, volunteers are a major driving force behind this transformation of the club.

While it is great to rejoice in it's success it also presents greater challenges with so many kids enjoying rugby both with the superstars and older kids playing competitive fixtures on a Sunday!

This post is to attract interest for more volunteers to help with the superstars on a Sunday.
Ideally, this would be parents, but would also be open to young leaders coming down and helping… this could be high school students completing their DofE, for example. If you know anyone please get in touch.

We require at least three coaches per year group on a Sunday - this ensures that we have the correct ratios and it also means there’s enough adults present if any kids need specific intervention.

Each group has a lead coach that is responsible for running the sessions and we’d like some parents to volunteer to support the session - there is no expectation for you to be running any sessions or activities by yourself!

It’s a bit nerve wrecking for the first couple of sessions but once you’ve mastered tag and bull dog you’ve pretty much nailed it!

For those opting to progress their skills full support and training supplied, including RFU training courses that lead to recognised qualifications.

Something for volunteering
Also worth noting that if you help as a volunteer coach you get a £50 stash allowance and we will get you looking the part in no time!

Can you please get in touch with me if interested in any capacity.
Thanks,
Sam and the Superstars team!
