One of our 'Back to Hockey' success stories is Tahir. After giving up hockey many years ago, Tahir and his son came to a Back to Hockey social hockey session run by North Wilts hockey Club on a cold autumn Sunday morning. After several fun sessions there, he decided to come along to our regular Tuesday evening training as well, "I'd forgotten how much fun hockey was".
This weekend, he scored his first goal for North Wilts' 2nds team since returning. "It's been thirty years since I last scored a goal", he told us. Talk about coming back in style! Not only did he score a great goal, but thanks to filming by Your Sport Swindon, it's been captured for history! It shows that it's never too late to dust off your boots and pick up a hockey stick again.
