STEVE Allwood swept the board at Northwood Cricket Club’s annual presentation night on Saturday, as the club celebrated its most successful year in a long time.
The Division 1 title was on show on the night and many other awards were handed out throughout the Glam Rock-themed event.
Allwood won an award for his five-wicket hauls, the fielder of the year prize, the first team bowler of the year and player of the year.
Over the season, Allwood collected 27 league wickets, with an average of 7.93.
Batsmen of the year prizes went to Chris Williams for the first team and Mark Tuckwell for the second team.
The second team bowler of the year was Steve Lewis, with 22 wickets.
The Sunday XI player of the year was Gavin Paddock, with Nathan Proud winning the evening XI player of the year. Nick Heelan was named midweek XI player of the year.
Prizes were awarded to players who achieved centuries — Nick Heelan, Matt Heelan, Gavin Paddock and Dave Neal — and bowlers who achieved hat-tricks and five-wicket hauls, Nathan, Simon and Ashley Gold-smith.
James Ivory was named colt of the year, with Isaac Nerval winning the under-15 player of the year. Harry Collier and Ben Duggan won the under-13 and under-11 awards respectively.
A golden moment award was won by Daniel Bell.
The tea ladies, scorers and umpires were then thanked, before club president, Keith Parker, was presented with a golfing umbrella.
