Our nickname 'LIONS' which is represented by the club emblem and badge was adopted by the committee because of what the lion represents, including its psychological influence for players. The founder of the club has always admired what lions represents and the Committee agreed, the aim is to get all our teams within the club to play with all the attributes of a lion (in bold below), which are:

* The roar of a lion is the loudest of all the big cats and is used to communicate and scare.

* Lions can see 4 or 5 times more than humans and they have have brilliant night vision.

* Lions are graceful, they have poise and confidence and they are fearless.

* Lions can defeat animals that are bigger than themselves.

* Lions work together to defend territory and to hunt.

* Lions are symbols of strength, courage and power.

* Lions have very big paws to protect themselves.

* Lions are very protective and loyal.

* Lions can jump (leap) very high.

* Lions are very sociable.
