
Ground-hopping is a hobby that involves individuals or groups of football supporters attending matches at as many different stadiums or grounds as possible. Participants are known as ground-hoppers, hoppers is largely a football-related pastime, ground-hopping probably found its origin in football in the 1970s in England. From the late 1980s fans in Germany started ground-hopping as well. Currently it is especially popular in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway.
There is no universal set of rules for counting ‘hopped grounds’, although a generally accepted one is that a ground-hoppers must have seen a match must at the ground or stadium
There are some formal organisations for ground-hoppers, including The 92 Club in England, which consists of ground-hoppers who have visited matches in all stadiums of the Premier league as well as the Football League, some ground-hoppers like to take a photo of themselves at the ground or stadium.
