Following the EGM in May, we are inviting members to express any concerns on our new articles and proposed rules.

At the Extraordinary General Meeting (E.G.M.) held on 13th May, a few members voiced concerns about the new Articles agreed on that day, and the Executive Committee (Exec) promised to consider these concerns. This was further discussed at our Annual General Meeting on 15th July.

A sub-committee has now been formed by the Exec, chaired by Malcolm Jarvie and comprising Graham Ward and Richard Deas to consider any representations members may have. Our three current Senior Vice Presidents have all been invited to take part.

The Exec had also hoped to discuss at the E.G.M. some new Club Rules. Strictly speaking, the Exec can make new Rules without reference to the members but was anxious to hear their views. Our current Rules were formulated many years ago and are considered no longer fit for purpose; unfortunately, there was no time to discuss the proposed new Rules at the E.G.M.

We are therefore asking members to express any concerns they may have, either with the new articles or the proposed rules, both of which are attached. Please can any comments be reference to a specific Article / Rule. These will then be considered by the Articles & Rules Sub-Committee, which will report back to the Exec in due course.

Please can your comments be emailed to Graham Ward, who is secretary to the sub-committee on gward7261@gmailcom within 21 days of the date of this Notice, following which the sub-committee will consider the same and report to the Exec.
