Boro boss Jimmy Ginnelly had this to say "The gaffer is very happy to sign Jordan Gough from neighbours Tamworth. I’ve tried to sign Goughy a couple of times over the last few years but he’s stayed loyal to the Lambs. He’s a left footed defender who can play left back or centre half.
He’s very talented with the ball and very difficult to get past so I’ve brought him in to boost my defensive group as I’ve targeted the need for more clean sheets this season. If we can do that the quality we have in the middle and up top should see us challenging this year. Goughy already knows quite a few of the lads so I’m sure he’ll settle in very quickly."
