TEAM NEWS

Our next league game is against Bedford Town on 4th of October, which was originally scheduled for the 10th of September, but had to be postponed due to the unfortunate events of the Queen’s passing,

Our first FA Trophy match is on the 8th of October, which is a home game at Liberty Way against Hinckley Leicester Road.

PREVIOUS MEETING/LAST OUTING

Our last game against Alvechurch was on Tuesday, and it was a glorious sight to see, with a full-time score of 3 – 1, sending the opposition home with a loss. But I’m sure that means they’ll be fighting that much harder to steal the win back from us today.
We started our first half extremely well, showing the opposition that we were not losing this game. Our first of 3 goals was scored 27 minutes into the match after McWilliams crossed the ball to Tyrell Waite who shot it into the goal from close range, putting us in the lead. (1-0)
Our second goal was scored 5 minutes before the half time whistle. Matt Stenson took charge of this goal after his first attempt was saved by Jezeph but the ball went back into play and Stenson got back to his feet and straight to the ball and kicked it into the left corner, putting us in that comfortable 2-0 lead.

After 2 minutes of added time into the first half, Tyrell Waite took another opportunity for a goal, and smashed it into the back of the net, it was a beautiful goal. And all 3 of our goals were scored in the space of 20 minutes of the first half.
The second half of the match we continued to fight but no more goals until the 89th minute of the match, Alvechurch’s Thomas Edge taps the ball past Breeden to get their only goal of the match. However, they just didn’t find the time to catch up to our three goals so the full time whistle means we took the win of 3-1!
