Nuneaton Borough hit the road on Tuesday night on the back of two successive wins at Liberty Way.

Saturday afternoon concluded in seven consecutive home wins for Jimmy Ginnelly's team, but despite the good form, Boro must be on their A game if they're going to turn around the horrid away form on Tuesday night.

Peterborough is the destination during midweek as Boro look to earn their first three points of the season on the road. Peterborough Sports will face Ginnelly's side on the back of an impressive 3-0 away win at the hands of St. Ives on Saturday afternoon. With Boro recently losing in Cambridgeshire, 2-0, Nuneaton will be well aware of the tough competition Sports will provide.

With both outfits claiming 3-0 wins in their last outings, its set up for a close encounter and with both sides feeling confident, don't be surprised if the game is decided by one decisive goal.

Peterborough Sports currently sit 13th in the Southern Premier Central but have only played nine games, three less than the Boro. With three wins, four draws and two losses, it's very much mid table form for Sports but due to the games in hand, a few wins could result in a much healthier league position once every team is on level games.

As for the Boro, 8th is occupied by Ginnelly's side and a win could increase the the chances of reaching the play offs come May. With six wins, one draw and five losses, all six wins have come on home turf and is the main reason why Boro sit pretty in 8th.

Nuneaton sit six points ahead of their opponents on Tuesday night, the expectation will be to make that nine points along with winning their first away game of the season. Sports have only won two games at home this season in the league, this will give Boro increased confidence as picking up away points is pivotal if Nuneaton want to stand any chance of promotion.

Peterborough Sports previous results:

14/09 - Alvechurch 2-2 Peterborough Sports
21/09 - Bishop's Stortford 1-2 Peterborough Sports (FA Cup Q)
28/09 - Peterborough 8-1 Leiston
05/10 - Peterborough Sports 1-0 Guiseley (FA Cup Q)
12/10 - St. Ives Town 0-3 Peterborough Sports

With seven points from a possible nine in their last three league games, Sports are in good stead and with Nuneaton Borough around the corner, manager Jimmy Dean will be looking to make it ten from twelve.
Jimmy Ginnelly will be looking to halt the progress of Sports by claiming their first away win of the season in Peterborough on Tuesday night.
