Left back Rhys Sharpe has committed to returning to Liberty Way and trying to help the Club regain their place in the National League North.
The Nottinghamshire based defender, who filled in admirably at centre half late in the season, said “This club and the supporters deserve something to smile about. I’m looking to make even more of an impact this year and be a positive influence on a successful season which hopefully ends in promotion.”
“I’m delighted to have convinced Rhys to stay with the Club” said Manager Jimmy Ginnelly, “he was mine and Dale’s Manager’s Player of the Year last season, so that shows how well we think he did for the team.
“I’m confident we can help improve Rhys’ game further though, and when we do, I firmly believe he’ll go back into the Football League. There was a lot of interest from other Clubs so it’s doubly satisfying that he’s chosen to stay with myself and Dale. It also speaks volumes for what we’re building here at Nuneaton.”
Welcome back to the Boro’ Rhys.
