Waite started his Career at Ilkeston Town before joining Notts County after impressing during a trial. He made his debut during a 2-0 win over Hartlepool in 2012. The winger scored his first County goal on the final day of the season vs Coventry City. He then had 2 spells out on loan at Nuneaton Town and 2 loan spells at his boyhood club Ilkeston.

In 2014 he joined Lincoln City on loan before joining them permanently at the end of the 2014-15 season.

March 2015 saw him sign a 2 year deal with Swedish club Skelleftå FF. This was then followed by spells at Nuneaton, Kidderminster Harries and Boston United.

After joining Boston He had loan spells at Matlock Town and Stafford Rangers.

He then joined Tamworth in 2018, he went on to make over 100 appearances during his 3 and a half seasons at The Lamb scoring 32 goals .

Over the course of the 2021/22 campaign he scored 8 times in the Southern League Central Division while picking up minutes for Tamworth and Coalville Town during the season.
