Boro Youth faced another good test away to Hinckley U18's Last night
By Lee Walkinshaw
Another positive step Forward For the youth team, following a very impressive second half display.
Boro Youth played Hinckley U18;s who finished fourth last season in the Eastern league, and they will face each other again next month in there first home game in the league this season down at liberty way.
First 45 minutes for the standard of the squad was very below par, a lot of wasteful possession, and was very fortunate to go into the break at 0-0. But some stern words to the team from all the coaching Staff soon brought the Boro youth back to life with more belief in there own decisions making along with there quality in play.
The Youth then thrived on the positive play with a lot more penetration in there attacking which then caused Hinckley all kinds of problems. Chance after chance went begging before on 65 minutes Boro scored the opening goal, but 5 minutes later Hinckley hit back to make it 1-1. The Boro youth still had belief in winning the game and was soon back in front with a fantastic chipped goal on 75 minutes. Boro then finished the game off in the 78th Minute to control the game to the end to finish up 3-1 winners.
A lot of praise was given to all players for there fantastic attitude and maturity at such a young age to change a game in they way they did.
Next game this Friday Vs NFK Burbage.
