Match report by Owen Jephcote;
Boro had a half chance to open the scoring in the opening couple of minutes but the chance was fired wide. A foul on Charlie Dowd a few yards outside the box gave Luke Benbow the opportunity to clip the ball in, he chipped the ball in towards Scott McManus who was beaten to it by the Stourbridge man before the ball was cleared. McManus would be called to action at the opposite end of the pitch with a good tackle halting a dangerous looking attack from the Glassboys. Ex-Boro centre half Joel Kettle came in at the back post to get on the end of a cross from Alex Moore which he could only head over the bar. With ten minutes left of the first half, Luke Benbow came close to firing the ball into the top corner from a free kick. The forward took a straight run up which allowed him to put his laces through the ball generating lots of power.
Half Time 0-0
A substitute was made at half time for the visitors with Walters almost putting his stamp on the game dribbling into the box before firing over. Over the next few minutes, a few chances came the way of Stourbridge however these efforts were either easily saved by Breeden or watched over the bar. Aaron Forde was able to pass the ball in behind the defence for substitute Stenson to run on to, however the pass had too much pace on it and it ran out for a goal kick. Late on in the match Nuneaton would have a few half chances of their own. These chances were eventually put behind for a corner.
