Ten man Nuneaton Borough fell to a disappointing 2-0 loss away at Kings Langley.
David Bremang was sent off against Kings Langley early in the second half, to add further misery to a poor first half and a penalty miss from skipper, Luke Benbow.
Nuneaton Borough are now winless in three, after two previous draws with high flying Tamworth and Coalville Town.
The first ten minutes were lively at Kings Langley. Benbow won a penalty when the ball struck the hand of a Langley player. Benbow stepped up from 12 yards but the Boro top scorer was denied by Melvin Minter in the home goal.
Not long after, Bremang had the opportunity to open the scoring. Good link up play between Nigel Julien and Devon Kelly-Evans concluded with an effort from the on-loan Coventry forward but Minter got down well to save.
Benbow was involved again when his strike from the edge of the area almost hit the back of the net, but once again Minter denied the Boro skipper.
Just prior to the half-hour mark Kings Langley opened the scoring. Stevie Ward fired Langley into a 1-0 lead after Breeden was unable to keep his effort out.
On the stroke of half-time, James Clifton delivered a long throw-in into the penalty area. The ball found its way to Callum Powell, but he was unable to find the net and it remained 1-0 to the hosts.
Five minutes into the second half, Bremang was sent off for Nuneaton. An initial foul on Ryan Edmunds frustrated Bremang and his words to the referee meant he was shown his marching orders.
Benbow was becoming a frustrated figure up front for Boro. He had a half chance but failed to make a sweet connection with the ball and Minter collected with ease.
Williams then hit the bar after an initial save from Breeden. Moments later it was 2-0. Williams got his goal this time after a right foot strike beat Breeden.
This was a hard one to take from a Boro perspective.
The final 15 minutes were approaching, and it was the home side who were holding the superior possession stats. Despite the home sides control Boro were still working hard to try and salvage something from the game.
Lloyd Doyley had a chance to deliver the ball into Will Hoskins who could’ve made it three. However, Breeden produced a superb save to keep the score at 2-0.
With the game nearing its conclusion Kings Langley had a penalty, but this time Mithcell Weiss was denied after another good save from Breeden.
Nuneaton host Banbury United next Saturday and Jimmy Ginnelly will hope his side can get back to winning ways.
