Scott began his career at Manchester United but was released at the age of 15.He then spent three seasons with his local side Prestwich Heys before joining Curzon Ashton.
His displays caught the eye of watching scouts and he was offered contracts at the same time by Nottingham Forest and Crewe Alexandra.
He opted to join Crewe and scored his first league goal away at Stockport County.
After leaving Gresty Road he had a spell with Stranraer before signing for FC United of Manchester.
Scott then spent seven successful years with Halifax Town scoring the Shaymen’s winning goal in the 2016 FA Trophy Final against Grimsby Town.
He was recently with Coalville Town for two seasons after joining them in 2018.
Scott signed for Boro in December 2020.
