Nuthurst vs Newdigate - Batting Bonanza in Hard Fought Draw

A magnificent 95 by G Osborne laid the cornerstone for the Newdigate total of 248-4 declared supported by Rucky (23) , then Rance (31). Joined by his brother, F Osborne, the pair jointly put the Nuthurst bowling attack to ethe sword. Twice, Nuthurst were hit for three consecutive sixes and fielders were dispatched to branches high in the trees. Greenwood had accounted for Rucky and Patel and Rob Keen bowled Rance. Skipper Willis finally bowled G Osborne, just shy of his maiden century.

Ekins (88) & Willis (4 8) countered with an opening stand of 142 before spinner, Rucky trapped Willis LBW. Ross, Thompson and Rossiter (33) kept up the run chase, falling just short on 243-8.
