Skipper Bob Samways won the toss and on a green wicket elected to bat first. Openers Raggi Singh and Jonny Willis set about building a solid platform against the Baldwins left arm bowlers. Baldwins only had 10 players but lost another player after 4 overs having injured his finger in the outfield Jonny was starting to strike the ball nicely with two crisp fours before being bowled for 10.

Enter Capt Bob who put on 52 with Raggi who was striking the ball well on a tricky surface. Bob was then given out LBW if only we had review system in place at the ground then decision could have been over turned! Runs continued to flow with young Adam Williams joining Raggi to up the rate with a partnership of 69 with good running and bad balls being punished for 4s. Both departed in quick succession with Adam making 22 and Raggi 79 from 99 balls good knock. Wickets tumbled. Charlie Le Quesne took 4 wickets for the Baldwins before David Thompson 9 N/O and Keith Greenwood 16 N/O got the total up to 189-7.

Tough total to chase down with only 9 Batsman Opening bowler Graham Prior took 3 quick wickets all cleaned bowl with straight seam bowling with his first 3 overs finishing with 3-3 other end Keith Greenwood took 2 wickets in a over including a fine catch by the ever improving wicket keeper Scott Barron. Ash Pandy came on to bowl took a wicket in his only over. Andy Walker was then introduced to bowl some leg spin which struck in his first over fine catch by Adam Williams at slip leaving Baldwins 7-7. David Thompson was introduced to bowl, The last wicket partnership Took Baldwins up to 39 Before Andy walker having been reversed sweeped for 4 then returned to his more familiar seam up to clean bowl the last wicket .
