On a slow wicket Nuthurst were put into bat by Bolney and openers Guy Eakins 39 and Jonny Willis 13made a slow but a steady start. Due to the slow wicket Jonny, Guy and Bob Samways 23 were caught . David Thompson continued his consistent run scoring with another 25, although wickets were starting to tumble in true Nuthurst fashion. Raggy Singh got the total to a respectable 155 with a quick fire 34 which would have been higher but the local rule was reread to Raggy at the tea break!

After Tea thanks to Adam Williams, Nuthurst had a forced substitute with the ever present Keith Greenwood subbing for the injured Ollie Prior. It was Prior senior who opened the bowling with Rob Keen, with four quick wickets falling 3 for Graham Prior and one for Rob Keen 1-8. Bolney then frustrated Nuthurst with C Bunce making 49 and J Moore making only 18 but remained not out. It was left for the return of Graham Prior to break the partnership with the wicket. Wickets started to fall as Prior got three more wickets finishing on 6-13 one thanks to a brilliant catch but Stuart Catterall fielding in Gully. There were not enough over's left to get the last 3 wickets required for victory.
