Fortunately, tea was ready and with home made cup cakes left over from the village picnic the previous day a plethora of cakes abounded.
Graham Prior took the new ball and was unlucky not to get a wicket with two catches missed. But it was Rob Keen who had Keith Greenwood caught and bowled with the score on 24. Jeremy James claimed the second wicket bowling C Baldock for 25 and wickets continued to fall with Adam Williams taking a spectacular catch off his own bowling and Jeremy James completing his overs with 3 wickets for 7 runs. However, a seventh wicket partnership of 51 gave some respectability to Ferring's innings. It was David Butcher who broke through taking a wicket in each of his three overs and eclising Jeremy's figures finishing with 3 wickets for 6 runs.
David Thompson clinched the last wicket giving Nuthurst a 47 run victory.
