Dear Players, Supporters & sponsors it gives me great pleasure to announce that we are finally going to get our chance to play at our old rugby ground and home of Oakmeadians rfc Meyrick Park Bournemouth. This event will take place on Saturday the 18th of April.
This will be the last day of the current domestic season for Oaks as they take on Wimborne rfc 2nds at 3pm.
We are going to take on Wimborne rfc vets at the early kick off time off 1pm.
The day promises to be a great double header of local rugby action.
There is a fully licensed Bar at the club house which has fantastic facilities the club house pavilion offers a awesome view to watch all the action unfold in which has to be one of the best and most picturesque settings in Dorset / Hampshire to watch Rugby. There will be fund raising activities throught the day including Raffles and a silent auction with 2 mega prizes including 2x @QBErugby tickets for England v Ireland or France this September at the home of @EnglandRugby Twickenham and our big item a signed @EnglandRugby Rugby Signed shirt from this year's England current @6nationsrugby squad.
All proceeds will go towrards building our group and to help Oakmeadians rfc u 15s player Anthony Bowers who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. We are asking for contributions from player's, Supporter's and Sponsor's alike to help raise as much as we can on this end of season finale in the way of prizes or anything that you think may help contribute to make this day even better.
We are proud of our heritage and this game means a great deal to us as a group of players so please don't just ignore this message we need your support.
