Taunton Town under 23's sounded impressive and playing at Taunton Town Ground added to that , but it was not to be, the venue was changed to a nearby playing field, there were no nets up on the pitch so they had to go and get some, from Bridgewater! which led to a 45 minute delay in starting. With the first team game postponed Jon was able to strengthen his squad with those who could travel but the game didn't start well and a poor back pass led to the hosts taking an early lead. This didn't last long before George Skipp found Steve Ayling for an equaliser. From conceding we upped our game and became the dominant team and just before half time Simon Cherry's assist let Vinnie Skip in for our second. It was a bit of an even second half but to put the game to bed Billy Cook's assist for Leon Gibbs finish in the 83rd minute was enough to take us through to the next round and with a win under our belts.
