What a great start to what promises to be a successful year for the under 15s. Their fighting spirit was evident in their first match against Coyotes - they may have been 2-0 down at half time, but managed a great comeback with a winning final score of 3-2. Nicola, Hannah, Rose, Izzy, Naomi and Caitlin showed amazing stamina and fight as they all stormed down the pitch at such speed after Ellie’s amazing clears. Ellie was an outstanding goalie, saving more than half the goals fired at her followed by accurate fast clears to the defence demonstrating how well this team works together.

The second two matches were very tough opponents against Cobham and Central, they lost these matches by just a few goals but still nothing to be disheartened with as the whole team played with such skill. All of the attackers performed amazingly with fantastic determination and great set plays by Joani and Izzy creating amazing opportunities for goals which were scored by them both, Mina, Ronnie and Izzy.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout with 21 girls, so many players meant that everyone had lots of energy when on the pitch as seen in Willow and Sophia who were sprinting in at every centre draw, fighting for the ball. I’m so excited for this season as it is clear to see they are all talented and competitive. They should all be very proud of their performance.
