Cents brushed aside a seriously understrength Richians side to book a cup semi final place.
Cents made into the Senior cup semi finals for the second year in a row by brushing aside a seriously under strength Richians side.Richians have loaded their second and third fifteens with many of their first team in order to have good cup runs. Cents did not get out of second gear and went through the motions knowing that they were playing a weak side. However the game still had to won and the referee blew up with 20 mins to go in order to save Richians from suffering a big defeat. This decision also worked in Cents favour as it meant there was less chance of the away side incurring any injuries with some big games coming up. Cents led 0-40 at halftime and scored some lovely tries through Rob Jones,Craig Anderson,Matt Humphries,Liam Hemming and Capt. Pete Willetts(2).Liam Hemming converted converted five of the tries to complete Cents first half scoring. In the second half Cents scored a further three tries through Joe Preece,Dave Knight and a second for Matt Humphries.Liam Converted two or the tries before the game was cut short. Cents now look forward to their final league match of the season and they will be looking to pick a strong side to finish their league campaign with a win inorder to set the tone for the night when the players dinner will be held. It is nice to be able to afford the luxury of being able to relax knowing they are safely in the play off's although Gordon League can still cause a surprise by beating Chard in their last match.
