Cents play two new teams on journey to Coventry

This weekend Cents were invited to play in a mini tournament at Earlsdon in Coventry.Cents played against our hosts Earlsdon who play in a league below Cents(Midlands West one) and Camp Hill in a league below them(Midlands West Two). The teams played each other and the matches last for 40 minutes.
Cents took up a mixed first/second team squad as a fair number of regular first team players were unavailable and the matches gave a number of players their chance to make a stake for the first team. Both matches Cents played in were enjoyable affairs with some good rugby played by the three sides involved in the Tournament.Coach 40 was well pleased with the effort put in by the squad and commented we played some good rugby against good opposition who like Cents wanted to play open rugby.
Cents won both their matches,26-7 against Earlsdon and we beat Camp Hill 29-7 in the second match.A further third match was played between Cents and hosts Earlsdon and the score in this match was 38-7.
The first match between Earlsdon and Camp Hill ended in a 7-7 draw.
Earlsdon proved to be good hosts for the day and our players made some new friends from both clubs and perhaps we can play them in the future when we can return the hospitality shown to us.
This coming weekend Cents first team host Usk from Wales and they should prove to be a stern test for the club.
