KEYNSHAM 29-3 CENTS

AFTER A 49-6 CUP WIN ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AGAINST SPARTANS CENTS TOOK A TRIP DONW TO KEYNSHAM WITH MANY FIRST TEAM PLAYERS RESTED.
ALTHOUGH THE SCORE SUGGESTS AN EASY WIN TO KEYNSHAM, CENTS DID HAVE A LOT OF POSSESSION BUT FAILED TO FINiSH SEVERAL CHANCES WITH BAD PASSING AND DROPPED BALLS PLUS KEYNSHAM DEFENDED VERY WELL TO KEEP UP THEIR CHANCES OF STAYING IN THIS LEAGUE.
ON THE OTHER HAND CENTS ARE SAFE IN FOURTH PLACE AND NOW LOOK LIKE THAT,S WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO FINISH AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT LOSE THEIR INTENSITY WHICH WAS WHAT WAS LACKING AGAINST KEYNSHAM.
COACH JACK PREECE WAS MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE ATTITUDE AND FOCUS THAN THE RESULT AND PUTS IT DOWN TO HAVING ONE EYE ON THE COMBINATION CUP ROUNDS AND KNOWING WE ARE SAFE IN THE LEAGUE.
MIKE MUMFORD PLAYED VERY WELL AT SECOND ROW COMING IN FROM HIS USUAL POSITION ON THE WING AT THE LAST MINUTE.
PROP SCOTT FIRTCHLEY, FLY HALF RICH PINKNEY, SCRUM HALF ROB TUCKER WERE RESTED.
NEW COMERS TO THE FIRST TEAM WERE NATHAN YOUNG (FLY HALF)PLAYED WELL AND YOUNG GEORGE PREECE (SCRUM HALF) ALSO DONE HIS JOB EVRY WELL.
CENTS PLAY DRYBROOK NEXT WEEK THEN OLD RICHIANS AWAY IN THE CUP QUARTER FINAL THE TUESDAY AFTER.
