Committed performance not enough to earn a win at Dings.

Cents slipped to yet another defeat on the road at Dings.Cents put in a committed performance but were unable to come away with a win they are seeking to ease their relegation worries. No one can say that this young Cents side are not trying and playing their hearts out, however they are not helping themselves when they do not take easy points when on offer. On a couple of occasions easy penalties were not taken when on offer, instead Cents went looking for tries and they paid the price.
Dings were the dominant side in the first half and led 16-3 at the break, however Cents were well in the match and took the game to the home side. With a little bit of luck they could have had a score or two themselves.
In the second half Cents were the dominant side seeing most of the ball and having most of the territory, however they came up against a resolute home defence who soaked up the Cents pressure.Dings increased their lead at the beginning of the half when they converted a further penalty and this was perhaps the main difference between the two sides, Dings were more clinical when points were on offer.

For Cents their lineout functioned well, their scrum held up apart from being under pressure at times and they defended well limiting the home side to one try.Considering this was Cents first game for a month they played well but lacked a cutting edge in attack for all their efforts.Cents now look forward to Old Reds at home next week in order to seek their first win for some time,no easytask
