SEVEN TRY'S WERE SCORED IN A VERY ENTERTAINING GAME AT THE STADE DE BRIDGE WITH THE FORWARDS TAKING THE SPOILS OF TRY'S WITH DALE WEST AND ROB PINKNEY SCORING TWO MORE OF THE SEVEN WITH WINGER ROB JONES SCORING THE TRY OF THE MATCH WITH THE PINKNEY BROTHERS INERLINKING DOWN THE PITCH FROM A GOOD LINEOUT FROM INSIDE THIER OWN HALF.
CENTS HAD A 46-11 LEAD WITH A HOUR GONE AND SAT BACK SLIGHTLY TO LET BARTON HILL CLAW BACK ANOTHER 19 POINTS.
WITH 20 MINUTES TO GO CENTS HAD TO MAKE CHANGES WITH FULLBACK BEN TURK AND NO8 RICH PINKNEY COMING OF INJURED FOR KIERON BLACKMORE AND SIMON PRICE AND PROP SAM PREECE BEING REPLACED FOR GAV BUTLER.
THERE WAS SOME GOOD PERFORMANCES TODAY WITH DAVE KNIGHT CONTROLLING THE GAME FROM SCRUMHALF AND OUTSIDE CENTRE LIAM HEMMING CAUSING THE BARTON HILL BACKS PROBLEMS.
COACH JACK PREECE SAID "WE PLAYED WELL TODAY BUT IT WAS A SHAME WE LET BARTON HILL COME BACK TOWARDS THE END, BUT WE TOOK OUR CHANCES WELL AND OUR LINEOUT WAS MUCH IMPROVED.
RICH PINKNEY WAS IN GREAT FORM SCORING SOME GREAT TRY'S AND IT WAS NICE TO SEE HIM TRIANING LAST WEEK AND GET HIS FIRST START FOR A WHILE."
