Cent made to work hard for win over battling Swindon.

Cents started the new year with their fifth win on the trott but were made to work hard for their victory by a battling Swindon side facing relegation.Swindon gave their all and showed that there are no bad teams in this league, the club can be proud of their teams efforts.

However, Cents looking a bit off the pace will be glad to get this game out of the way as they made a lot of mistakes and the away side stole a lot of ball at the break down the one area the home side were second best all game.Cents had long periods of pressure but on many occasions came away with nothing because of bad mistakes plus Swindon's dogged defence.

In the first half Swindon led on two occasions but the home side responded straight away each time the away side scored.Cents led 22-12 at the break after scoring three tries through George Bvuma and Sol Farrer two with Wayne Mulhern converting two of the tries plus a penalty. The score was a reflection of how tight the match was and it was a high quality match to watch. The main difference between the sides was that Cents took their chances better than Swindon.

The second half was just as good as the first and Cents had to be on their guard because Swindon grew more confident as the match progressed. They attacked when they could and kept the home side on their guard although the result was never in doubt when Cents secured their try bonus point with two second half tries.Cents scored their two tries through Alex Cox and Rob Winchle with Wayne Mulhern converting one off the tries.Swindon scored their third try in between Cents tries and the final score was 34-17 to the home side.

All in all a good game to watch with both sides giving their all and Cents deserved their win because they finished better although a lot of work will need to done on the break down for next weeks match.Swindon on their performance today must keep plugging away and get some wins which are there surely.Next week Cents are at Trowbridge and this will not be an easy fixture as they narrowly lost at Cents plus they having been giving the top teams hard games .
