Cents continued their unbeaten run of six wins with another victory against a hard working Wimborne side.Although out played Wimborne never gave in and at times took the game to their host's.
Like Cents ,Wimborne attacked from every where on the field but lacked Cents killer instinct to finish off promising moves.Cents are at the moment playing some good rugby and at times their defence has been first class because at on stage in the second half the home side were down to 13 players but still Wimborne could not find a way though.
Cents were 22-3 up at half time with a try bonus point already assured through four well taken tries scored by Ross Hannaford,Luke Jones,Darragh McNamara plus Lewis May with Wayne Mulhern converting one of the tries. The score line reflected Cents overall dominance but there were periods when Wimborne applied pressure to the home sides line.
The second half was much the same as the first with Cents in control and Wimborne having periods of pressure on the Cents goal line especially when they went down to 13 players.Cents scored a further five tries in the second half through Ross Hannaford(second),Tim Wilcox(2),Rob Winchle and Sol Farrer with Wayne Mulhern converting three of the tries. The final score was 53-3 to Cents and the score line reflected the home sides dominance of the match but Wimborne had their moments in a good match to watch.
Cents travel to Banbury Next week and this should be a real test for Cents because the home side may have lost their last two matches against Marlborough and Newbury, they will prove to be very difficult opponents.Banbury will be looking to bounce back into the promotion places plus avenging their 3-22 lost to Cents earlier in the season. For their part Cents are beginning to get a settled side together and lets hope we can send a strong side away next weekend.
