Cents given a good match by Wimborne.

The supporters of Cents were given another entertaining match to watch at the Bridge last weekend.Visitors Wimborne RFC came to play and were not afraid to take the game to their hosts.
This was a high quality match, just like the other matches played at the Bridge this season and Wimborne were the latest side to come to Cents and put on a show of attacking rugby. The game was an all action affair played in the right spirit by both sides who looked to attack from anywhere on the field. The tempo of the match was very quick with both sides going at each other right until the end and the commitment shown by both sides was first class.
Cents led 21-0 at half time and although the score line showed Cents were on top they had to battle hard for their lead. The difference between the two sides was that Cents took their chances when on offer and Wimborne did not.Cents scored their three tries through Jack Rowe,Alex Cox and James Edwards with Harry Preece converting all three tries.
The second half was much the same as the first, end to end open rugby by two sides who wanted to play.Cents got their try bonus point when Michael Mathers scored an unconverted try for a score of 26-0 just after half time.Wimborne then scored an converted try not soon after Cents for a score line of 26-7 to Cents.Rob Winchle then added Cents fifth try which also went unconverted for a score line of 31-7 before Wimborne finished the game stronger by scoring two unconverted tries of their own, the last one right on full time.Final score 31-17to Cents.
All in all a very good game to watch for all those supporters watching and Cents next match is against unbeaten league leaders Banbury who seem to flying this season so far.It will be interesting to see what side Cents field for the match as 5/6 first team players are unavailable for the match for one reason or another. It would have been a hard match at full strength so Cents will have to step up another gear with the players that will be available,I am sure that those who play will play with the pride that our club has.
