Cents have comfortable win over a battling Windsor side.

Cents bounced back from last weeks last minute loss at Marlborough with a comfortable home win over a battling Windsor side.Cents last played Windsor in the season 2016/17 and they were promoted to our league after winning the Southern Counties league last season.During that 2016/17 season Windsor ran Cents close in both the matches and a close encounter was expected again.
The match was played at the Oxstalls all weather pitch as the Stade de Bridge was deemed unplayable and the surface led to a very fast paced game with lots of attacking rugby from both sides.Cents were always on top right from the start with their attacking style of play although Windsor had spells of attacking Cents.
Cents led 28-7 at half time and had secured a try scoring bonus point scoring 4 tries through Dale Cookwest,Sam Preece,Joe Preece and Nathan Stroud .Harry Preece completed the Cents points tally by converting all four tries and the only blemish was that the home side could have scored more but for bad finishing.
Cents again dominated the second half but Windsor ensured the home side did not have everything their own way because they had long spells of possession and they scored two well taken converted tries of their own, just reward for their efforts throughout the match.Cents scored a further three tries to win the match 49-21 and their second half try scorers were Harry Preece,Ross Hannaford and Nathan Stroud with a second try.Harry Preece converted all three tries to complete the Cents scoring.
All in all a good job done however the only downside to the performance was that the try scoring finishing could have been better because a fair few tries went begging because of sloppy passing etc.Cents do not have a match next weekend so it is a chance for all Cents missing players to come back as this week their were 11 first team squad players not available.Cents next home match is the week after against local rivals Old Pats from Cheltenham and we will be looking to field our strongest squad.
