Cents move towards the climax of the season with well desrved win over Blechley at home.

Cents started the run in towards an important end of the season with a convincing win over a game Bletchley side who battled to the end and never gave up.This is the start of a potential five game span of matches that has to be played by Cents over the next 14 days.Cents have their Senior cup semi against Chosen Hill tuesday, their final league game against Reading next saturday then if we are sucessful against Chosen we could have the Senior cup final next sunday and the following saturday the play off game against Camborne.
An important two weeks for the club was started with a good team perfomance from a lively Cents team missing Cliub Capt Pete Willetts and in his place Scott Fritchley took his place.
The result was perhaps never in doubt once Cents had scored two quick tries at the start of the match.Cents scored these tries through Dan Knapman and Nathan Stroud and with Connor Gwilliam converting one of the tries Cents led 12-0 inside the first quater.Cents scored one other try in the first half through Sam Preece and this try went unconverted and Cents led 17-0 at the break.
The first half was dominated by Cents as they had total control of all aspects of the match and it was Bletchley's defensive qualities that kept the score down to Cents only scoring three tries in the first half.Bletchley also took the game to Cents when they managed to secure any decent ball, they were not afraid to give it a go.
Cents wrapped up their latest victory with four second half tries through Sam Preece(his second),Dan Knapman(also his second),Ryan Garrott and Ryan Townsend.Connor Gwilliam converted all the second half tries and the final score of the match was 45-0 to Old Cents.Although well beaten,Bletchley played their part in an entertaining match at the Stade de Bridge. When they managed to secure any decent ball they were never afraid to move it around and they tackled well to contain Cents for large parts of the match.
Cents now move on to Tuesdays cup match in good shape and with no major injury problems. The home side will be able to call upon a strong squad for what promises to be a tough game against a team we normally struggle against.Chosen are in a good run of form at the moment and this game I suspect will a tough battle.
