Cents fall short at Launceston


Cents unbeaten away run came to an end at Launceston on Saturday when they lost a closely contested match 25-32. Before Saturday Cents had not lost on their travels this season notching up two draws and one victory.
At one stage in Saturday's match Cents were losing 29-8 but staged a remarkable recovery to have have Launceston scrambling for victory.Cents earned another two bonus points from the match one as a losing bonus point and one for scoring 4 tries.Cents have got bonus points from all their matches this season apart from the heavy defeat by Exeter University.
Cents try scorers were Marcus Brown, Ross Hannaford, Luke Dilley and Luke jones with Harry Preece landing one penalty plus a conversion to complete the Cents scoring. coaches Winchle and Brown were pleased with most aspects of the Cents performance but said they made two many mistakes that cost a victory.
Cents are on their travels again this weekend when they travel to Weston Super Mare who will provide a stiff test for the Cents side and they would need to be at their best.
