Depleted seconds lose at Old Boys

Old Cents lost their unbeaten start to the season when they went down to Glos Old Boys away and also lost the top spot to the Glos One(North) league as well.
On the day Glos Old Boys were well worth their win as they showed more structure to their play and Cents made two many errors plus they missed too many tackles.Cents looked disjointed and this was to be expected as the side showed 10 changes to the one that beat Fairford well last week.In fact as a whole there were 22 players not available for selection this week and it is to the clubs credit that they still managed to put out a second XV. Cents had to rely on veterans Matt Vye, Mark Fritchley, Michael Mumford plus the Pinkney bros for the seconds while Pete Willetts was on the bench for the firsts.
Old Boys deserved their victory on the day and you can only play what is put in front of, however when they play the return fixture they will face a very much stronger Old Cents team.
Cents try scorers were Joe Coombs and Kieran Bevan with Ben Woods converting one of the tries.Ben Woods and Kiran Bevan werethe OLd Cents men of the match.
