The Bulls traveled to Southwark for their rearranged Kent Premier West fixture. A long list of injured meant a bare 16 were scraped together for the game. Southwark started the match with a quick try as tackles slipped off their legging (yes leggings) clad no 8 . For the next 30 minutes OEs were forced to make numerous tackles and defend as best they could with just the one consolation try in reply. The resulting half time score being a devastating 39 - 5.
Southwark made their three substitutions and were strangely transformed in to a different side. The Bulls now rampant in attack were moving the ball at will and making great ground. It wasn't long until the tries started coming. The Old boys totting up four with at least another two narrowly not scored. The final score was a disappointing 46 - 27 .
The score line certainly doesn't do the rugby justice, our scrum was unstoppable all game and no one gave up the fight. A special mention goes to the Academies Renus who played his first 80 minutes as hooker in senior rugby. Well played all.
