Congratulations to the U14's who completed the double double retaining both their Kent 7's and 15's titles this season

We selected 11 boys for the Kent 7's at Gillingham. Thanks go to Nick Warren for an excellent training session on Friday evening where we focused on defence and attacking from depth.

We were drawn in Group A together with Tunbridge Wells, Folkestone, Bromley and Aylesford with results as follows:

OE's v TW - Won 24-0

OE's v Folkestone - Won 35-0

OE's v Bromley - Won 35-0

OE's v Aylesford - Won 44-0

Having won the group we faced Whitstable in the quarter final winning 49-0, before overcoming Sevenoaks 49-0 in the semi final.

This set up a showdown against Blackheath who had beaten Tunbridge Wells 28-14 in the other semi final. Having spent the whole day avoiding contact we were drawn into a slugfest in the first half were we turned around 7-0 up having squandered a couple of very good chances through poor final passes. An early try in the second half relieved the pressure as we went 14-0 up before disaster struck and we conceded our first try of the day. Undeterred an excellent catch from the restart from James set up another try, which we followed shortly thereafter with our fourth. In the end we ran out 28-7 winners to retain our 7's title.

Overall an excellent day. Defence wins in 7's every time as we scored 264 point and conceded just 7 over seven games. Our fitness and execution was first class and proved decisive in the final. Well done boys another excellent performance to cap a great season.
