Today marks the return of competitive action for both teams today as the 2021/22 league season begins after the 2020/21 season was completely abandoned due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

After a strong pre-season, with large numbers throughout, both teams are raring to go today but have tough matchups to kick-off their campaigns.

Our 1st XV, under the leadership of Sirus Wickham, welcome Moore RUFC to Belvidere (3pm KO). Whilst not playing against each other for a number of years, "The Gentlemen" always provide a stern test and a physical encounter will provide a good benchmark for the squad in terms of the rest of the season.

With our 1st XV being at home, our 2nd XV begin their season with an away trip to Christleton. The team, being led by Karl Plant, begin the season with lofty aspirations and given the strength of their squad today it is clear to see why. A number of the team can count themselves unlucky not to be getting 1st XV action today and this shows the strength of our playing section at the moment which is great news!

We wish Sirus, Karl and all the teams today the best of luck and hope that both teams can start the season with two wins. 1st XV kick off is at 3pm and we hope that as many of you as possible can get down to support the lads after such a long time away!
