OGRFC History

Old Georgians’ Rugby Club (OGRFC) was re-established in 2011 with the purpose to provide opportunities to play rugby after leaving St George’s College, Weybridge.

On the back of three successive promotions through the Surrey league tables, OGRFC currently ply their trade in the highly competitive Surrey 1 league. The club are extremely lucky to play their home fixtures at the College, allowing them to boast arguably the best home pitch on the league circuit.

As well as playing matches on Saturday throughout the year, OGRFC train once a week at the College under the guidance of recently appointed Head Coach Ben Johnston (Director of Rugby at SGC). Ben’s enthusiasm and unquestionable rugby and coaching knowledge will no doubt drive the club onto new heights in the coming years as we continue to grow and prosper.
