Old Georgians RFC are delighted to announce the signing of their first full-time coaches in their short history. For the 2016/17 season, Peter Synott and Neil Sweeney, both 1st XV players for Esher RFC, are joining the club on a full-time coaching basis in order to prepare them for their venture in to Surrey 1

Pete and Neil both have strong links with the college; Pete has been coaching the St. Georges 1st XV for a number of years whilst Neil was a pupil there along with his younger siblings who also attended.

Neil has had a huge hand to play in the development of the club since its birth and his excellent links with the RFU have been instrumental in helping OGRFC really establish itself in coming up the Surrey leagues. With his continued support the infrastructure of the club has really gone from strength to strength.

Combined with this, Peter has massively bought in to the ethos of the Georgian rugby style of play, which stems from the first year students at the college all the way up to the old boys squad. His passion for exciting and attacking rugby will certainly funnel down to the players who are delighted to work with a coach many of them worked with as pupils.

The club is extremely excited to continue its rise throughout the Surrey leagues and the acquisition of Peter and Neil will go a very long way to aid this.
