As a club we love supporting community charity projects and recently we were lucky enough to be able to help SOS Kit Aid.

Lucas Wager Chairman of Old Leamingtonians pictured here donating kit to SOS Kit Aid quoted
"SOS Kit Aid is a wonderful charity, supported by the RFU and several other professional players. We are lucky enough as a club to be able to support charities like this and it is fantastic seeing our kit go to a great cause"

Read more about the work SOS Kit Aid are doing here:

Used rugby shirts and other kit, surplus to the requirements of professional and community clubs in the UK and Ireland are now being proudly worn by youngsters in seven new amazing developing rugby nations on the other side of the World.

All this is due to the generosity of clubs, similar to yours, and the efforts of the supporters and volunteers of SOS KITAID, that great Rugby charity, that collects and distributes unwanted kit to countries such as Estonia, Paraguay, Bolivia, Laos, Tonga, Cayman Isles, Montenegro and the British Virgin Islands.

Surprised that these countries are all playing Rugby? Well they are, but the youngsters in these emerging Rugby nations need our support, to satisfy their hunger for the sport that we all love and sometimes, perhaps take for granted.
For them, Rugby kit can be expensive, and beyond the reach of many families, which is why I would like to appeal to you to search out any clean, undamaged and unwanted kit in your club, and give it to us to distribute to emerging Rugby nations in other parts of the world. And it’s not just shirts we want to send – shorts, socks and particularly boots are very sought after, together with training bibs, balls and other Rugby equipment.

You won’t mind me saying, I’m sure, that anything you donate must be clean and serviceable – we won’t insult our overseas friends by sending rubbish – but we are prepared to do some work to make them acceptable.
As I have now retired from officiating, I have become the Charity’s representative covering Warwickshire, the West Midlands and Staffordshire, so I would be grateful if you could contact me via, the details below, if you have any surplus kit to donate. I can then arrange to collect it from you, ready to include in our next overseas consignment.

And if you would like to know more about SOS KITAID give me a call or look at our web site on www.soskitaid.com

Yours in Rugby
Peter
