Old Leamingtonians Rugby Club have been putting together some short video clips of activities and exercise for the pupils of Kingsway Primary School in Leamington Spa. The idea came from OLs Ladies Full Back Jane Towey, who is a teacher and Sports Coordinator at the school.

OLs Ladies team sprang into action; creating fun, short video clips - edited by vice captain Anna Tracy. the project soon became a whole-club activity with the Mini & Juniors getting on board by sharing their video they had created in the last lock down. Within the first week, the videos had been viewed over 150 times.

In these extremely challenging times for many families, we wanted to extend our outreach and do more to help, So we contacted our friends at Akuma Sport who were more than happy to donate some OLs branded kit to the school to be used as prizes.

Jane said, “The videos give broad and imaginative experiences from members of our extended community. It’s a really positive feeling for the young people to know that people they have never met are thinking about them and wanting to share aspects of their life with them. It also enables OLs to continue to build together as a club through helping the local community, after all we are in this together.”

We hope by sharing these that other schools and parents home-schooling might find them useful.

Speedway bikes.
