Old Leamingtonians Colts are primed for a thrilling semi-final clash against local rivals Leamington in the 2024 Bob Coward Cup this Friday, March 28th, at The Crofts. As the reigning champions, OLRFC Colts are determined to secure their place in a second consecutive final.

The highly anticipated match, kicking off at 7:30 PM under the floodlights, promises to be a spectacle of local rugby talent. Old Leamingtonians are fortunate to have a formidable squad of 32 players available for selection, showcasing the depth and strength of their Colts program.

"The squad is coming together nicely ahead of the game," said Head Coach Tim Perkins. "Following a good league win against Old Laurentians at the weekend, we are focusing on how we can progress to the final. With a quality squad in place and currently topping the league table, the team has been training hard under the guidance of our dedicated coaching team: Karl Richards, Rob Pelter, Chris Errington, Rob Scott, and our try-scoring prop from the 2nd team, Richard Kilpatrick. The boys are really looking forward to the challenge our neighbours will bring, and are focussed on ensuring we bring our entertaining, try-scoring rugby to the game on Friday."

Director of Rugby, Scott Craig, echoed Perkins' sentiments, highlighting the squad's impressive season. "This is a unique opportunity for the squad to progress to back-to-back finals in the Bob Coward Cup," Craig stated. "Friday should be a great night, and we hope the entire club will come out to support the Colts in this crucial semi-final. It’s a chance to enjoy a fantastic game of rugby, socialise with friends and family, and be part of our club's continued success."
