Innovative approach to discussing formation used at training

G Nev and Carra may prefer something a little more sophisticated; we have other ways to discuss formation. But whose bag did all these come from?

Way back, when football was a game of 300-a-side played between 2 local villages (yes, I think Geoff Loughlin was involved), and up until the modern day, coaches and managers have struggled to ensure their ideas around formation and tactics are passed on to players in a way they understand.

In those early days, Wilbur Taxendorf used pig's blood smeared onto his butcher's shop window to show how Alf Grizlendell was going to be released from the melee at the bottom of Snape's Hill to record the victory.

Football formation discussion has always been at the cutting edge of innovation, progressing through the chalkboard, the back of a fag packet, the magnetic counters, Andy Gray's one where he just wiggled the player icon, through to the modern day and Sky Sports' latest invention.

But what do you do when you realise, during training on a pitch in Rusholme, that you need to explain something to players but have none of the above pictorial tools at your disposal? You reach out for someone's kit bag by the looks of it.

ALL of these came out of one person's kit bag last night. But whose was it? (If you know, don't post it for a few days...)
