Rishworthians travel to relegation threatened Barnsley eager to get back to winning ways and consolidate our position in second place in Yorkshire Two.

We were without a game last week due to the damage to the pitch from the flooding from storm Ciara, but went down away from home at North Ribblesdale the week before.

Then the appalling conditions favoured the heavier home pack, although director of rugby Jon Bake was pleased with the way his team performed.

While Rishworthians must be favourites against Barnsley, he warned about complacency as the South Yorkshire side will be fighting for survival and had a good win away last week at the team above them Yarnbury.

The last time Rishworthians played at Barnsley three years ago in our Yorkshire Two promotion year, we won 40 – 14 and will be hoping that history repeats itself.
