Tiffs earn highest placement in club's 96 year history

Old Tiffinians finish the 2019/2020 season 2nd in London 3 SW, securing promotion to London 2 SW after confirmation from the RFU that they would honour the final table results of the coronavirus shortened season.

Tiffs final points tally of 87.5 put them 18 points clear of 3rd place Georgians, and just 6 points behind league leaders Reeds Weybridge, who join them in London 2 next season.

Captain Thomas Carvill had this to say on the successful season:

'It was a tough but very enjoyable season and I feel that promotion was on everyone's minds when we came through a very tricky run of fixtures early in the season that included three trips away to Portsmouth undefeated.

'Our success is testament to an excellent culture in the club and a strength in depth that we maybe had not seen before, and I am immensely excited to see what this group of players can do in London 2 next season.

'I would like to give my thanks to everyone involved not only this year, but over the last few years who have made the team what is has become, especially Andy Blackburn who kept us focused game to game and did what he has done for so many years now in steering the ship admirably. '

'See you all in July (virus permitting) when the fun starts again for pre-season.
